About the Role

CIDETEC Energy Storage is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Business Developer to join our team. As a key member of our commercialization team, you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, profiling prospective customers, and driving new business through various outbound campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy:
    • Create, define, and implement the sales strategy and policy for our battery software solutions.
    • Develop and maintain a strong brand image and reputation in the market.
  • Sales and Marketing:
    • Search for and follow-up with strategic and non-strategic customers.
    • Negotiate and monitor current and potential contracts.
    • Promote the image and brand of our battery software solutions.
    • Develop external networking opportunities to enhance the strategic positioning of our solutions.
  • Organisation and People:
    • Participate in the development and implementation of our management model to ensure high-quality services.
  • Competitive Surveillance:
    • Analyze and understand the market and competition, defining actions to improve market share and positioning.
    • Maintain a rigorous knowledge of the market and competition, using customer satisfaction studies when necessary.
  • Business Development:
    • Explore and propose market opportunities for our battery software solutions.
    • Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts to identify high-potential clients.
    • Educate customers on our offerings.
    • Execute daily outbound phone calls and emails to engage with prospects.
    • Understand prospects' pain points, gather technical requirements, and correlate business needs to available software tools.

    Requirements
    • Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering background.
    • High level of written and spoken English.
    • Expertise in software sales experience.
    • Familiarity with the battery field, battery modeling, or related domains is advantageous.
    Observations

A highly motivated individual with a keen interest in sales of software based on research and innovation activities. You will join a multidisciplinary team and be able to organize your work, meeting deadlines and established objectives. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Having undertaken a placement abroad and more than 10 years' work experience in a similar environment will be considered an added value.
