Role Overview
The Finance Business Partner for Italy and Spain serves as a vital support for the financial aspects concerning the Managing Directors of Italy and Spain, acting as a strategic partner for the commercial teams in these regions.
As the primary financial liaison for the designated business area, this position provides support and guidance to the local management team in commercial and operational decision-making processes, driving transformation and recommending solutions to meet the business objectives of the Italy/Iberia cluster. The Finance Business Partner champions finance digitalization and standardization initiatives, facilitating the transition to a new finance operating model.
This role is accountable for both the short- and long-term financial performance of the Italy and Iberia cluster, collaborating closely with the management teams of Italy and Spain. It plays a crucial role in shaping and defining the cluster's strategy concerning volume and profitability, pricing decisions, customer/product/market mix, cost management, and working capital oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a business partner to the Managing Directors and commercial teams in Italy and Spain, providing insightful decision support while influencing and challenging key decisions.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director and commercial team to develop and implement the commercial strategy for the area of responsibility.
- Oversee the Mid-Term Plan (MTP) for the cluster in accordance with the guidelines established by Global FP&A.
- Drive the financial performance of the cluster, focusing on profitability and working capital management aligned with strategic objectives.
- Provide analytical support to the business and management to enhance understanding of business dynamics.
- Work closely with FP&A to prepare budgets and forecasts, identifying and supporting cost-saving initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate projects aimed at enhancing business performance, particularly in profitability and working capital.
- Facilitate the preparation of commercial business cases related to business expansions and outsourcing agreements.
- Support the transition to the new finance operating model, including leveraging Global Business Services.
- Drive initiatives to improve finance processes, emphasizing digitalization and standardization.
- Collaborate with the Pricing team to ensure accurate product pricing for customers, reflecting pre- and post-calculated costs.
- Ensure integrity and financial controls within the cluster by utilizing data and insights from global finance functions.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficient in business English, both written and spoken.
- Extensive experience in finance, with prior roles in accounting, FP&A, or business partnering within a multinational company, preferably in B2B or food industries.
- Strong stakeholder management skills within a matrix organization.
- Open-minded and curious, with a desire to continuously learn and explore various aspects of finance; self-starter.
- Analytical, hands-on, flexible, and solution-oriented, with a strong drive to achieve targets.
- Excellent team player.
- Familiarity with SAP, including BW.
- Knowledge of IFRS.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines while maintaining focus in a dynamic environment.
