As a Senior Clinical Development Director at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a key role in securing and retaining business for PPD through professional, consultative, and proactive sales activities. Your focus will be on decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors, positioning PPD as a primary or preferred provider for all clinical development work to be outsourced.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead RFP strategy calls and develop client proposals to meet strategic company goals.
  • Prepare client presentations and negotiate and close contracts.
  • Sign new business authorizations at or above assigned authorization goal.
  • Maintain sales database and cold call and client visit activity reports.
  • Act as a liaison between sponsor and company on all business development activities and requirements.
  • Coordinate with the relevant clinical development area(s) to ensure a successful implementation.
  • Gather data on marketing trends and driven products/services and pricing.
  • Ensure client happiness through periodic client contact and report and develop recommendations to address client dissatisfaction.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure PPD remains a leader in clinical development services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and skills, as well as extensive, senior-level sales experience for the Clinical/CRO/Laboratory Services markets. You will also need to be a strong communicator and team player, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
