Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager – Procurement and Logistics is a key role within Reconocida Empresa, responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of the procurement and logistics department. This position plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention, while meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels in real-time, conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy, and develop strategies to reduce excess inventory and improve turnover rates.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Estimate demand for materials and products, analyze historical data, and use statistical tools for accurate forecasting to inform procurement and logistics decisions.
  • Supplier Coordination: Communicate with overseas suppliers to ensure timely procurement and maintain a database of supplier information to optimize relationships.
  • Material Flow Tracking: Utilize SAP MRP for planning and ordering to accurately track material flow and maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring seamless logistics operations.
  • Logistics and Shipping: Schedule shipments, monitor in-transit goods, and resolve any shipping issues to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Cost Analysis and Budgeting: Monitor import-related expenses and prepare budgets for the import department to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align import activities with business objectives, ensuring a cohesive and effective team effort.
  • Training and Development: Train new team members on import procedures and systems to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review import processes for efficiency improvements, staying updated with changes in import regulations and trade agreements to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
