About the Role

Arup is seeking a highly skilled Airport Planning Engineer to join our Aviation team in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of innovative airport planning projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to develop infrastructure and architecture plans for airports
  • Conduct capacity and demand studies, infrastructure investment analysis, and operability studies
  • Support the geometric configuration of airfields, passenger terminal buildings, accesses, and support facilities
  • Develop proposals for public and private clients
  • Utilize static and dynamic simulation within airport subsystems

Requirements

  • Architecture or Aerospace Engineering degree, or a related field
  • 1-4 years of experience in airport planning or a related field
  • Advanced Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (C1); other languages are valuable
  • Organizational skills and excellent communication skills
  • Modeling software skills (AutoCAD, Revit, Illustrator, InDesign, Infraworks, Open Road)

Assessable Requirements

  • Experience in airport geometric design software (Transoft's Aviplan or similar)
  • Proficiency in Rhino/Grasshopper software
  • Familiarity with airport subsystems capacity simulation software (ARC's CAST or Transoft's ARCPORT)
