Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy in Zaragoza, Spain. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical components, equipment, and systems for our dry transformers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical components, equipment, and systems for dry transformers
  • Work closely with customers, sales, project management, and mechanical design teams to develop optimal technical solutions
  • Conduct design reviews with customers and provide technical support to sales teams during tender negotiations
  • Contribute to the development of new products to maintain our position as a leading manufacturer of large power transformers
  • Prepare specifications, technical reports, and related documents in accordance with requirements and established formats
  • Review and analyze engineering data, customer specifications, documents, and reports
  • Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application
  • Participate in the investigation of technical issues and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or engineering physics
  • 2+ years of professional experience working with transformers
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Strong proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS-Office)
  • Capability in 3D modeling packages a plus
