We host in-person and virtual events that support a wide range of social impact areas, all created, curated, and led by nonprofit and social impact organizations globally. Our events focus on over 30 different social impact areas, including cleaning up by the waterfront, volunteering at local soup kitchens, writing cards to isolated seniors, giving care at a local animal shelter, building STEM education kits for children, and packaging hygiene kits for communities in need.

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced and responsible Freelance Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the logistics of our in-person events, ensuring a high-quality customer experience, and providing exceptional customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage event details, including shipping event materials and arranging staffing for each event.
  • Be the on-site representative, leader, and problem solver at events.
  • Align roles and responsibilities with the onsite team, including event hosts, nonprofit organizations, venues, additional staff, and corporate partners.
  • Manage the check-in process for in-person events, providing a warm and friendly welcome to guests.
  • Problem-solve issues such as missing supplies, late staff, technology challenges, and escalate issues to the Events Team when necessary.
  • Send consistent updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team throughout the event.
  • Break down after the event ends, helping to clean the site and repackage and ship all materials back to the distribution center.

**Requirements**

  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
  • Based in Madrid, Spain, with schedule flexibility and availability to work on a contract per-event basis, as needed.
  • Experience in complex, large-scale events and smaller executive-level intimate events.
  • Resourcefulness, ability to exhibit grace under pressure, and be solutions-minded in ambiguous situations.
  • Quick thinker, able to problem-solve on the fly.
  • Self-starter who is organized and detail-oriented.
  • Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Willing and eager to travel to various areas of the local region.
  • Super strong interpersonal and customer service skills, especially in fast-paced situations.
  • Able to wear many hats and take on varied tasks and projects.
  • Comfort being present and interacting with large crowds.
  • Able to lift, slide, and carry up to 30lbs.
