We host in-person and virtual events that promote social impact and community engagement. Our events focus on over 30 different social impact areas, created, curated, and led by nonprofit and social impact organizations globally.

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Freelance Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the logistics of our in-person events, ensuring a high-quality customer experience, and providing exceptional customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage event preparation, including coordinating with corporate partners, nonprofit partners, and event hosts
  • Take ownership of day-of coordination, including setting up, aligning with the on-site team, and tearing down
  • Be the representative, leader, and problem solver at events
  • Manage check-in process, provide a warm and friendly welcome to guests, and problem-solve issues
  • Send consistent updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team throughout the event
  • Breakdown after the event ends, helping to clean the site and repackage and ship all materials back to the distribution center

**Requirements**

  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills
  • Based in Madrid, Spain, with schedule flexibility and availability to work on a contract per-event basis
  • Experience in complex, large-scale events and smaller executive-level intimate events
  • Resourceful, able to exhibit grace under pressure, and be solutions-minded in ambiguous situations
  • Quick thinker, able to problem-solve on the fly
  • Self-starter who is organized and detail-oriented
  • Love building relationships with customers and enjoy customer service
  • Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
  • Willing and eager to travel to various areas of the local region
  • Super strong interpersonal and customer service skills, especially in fast-paced situations
  • Able to wear many hats and take on varied tasks and projects
  • Comfort being present and interacting with large crowds
