About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Process Support Specialist to join our team at LyondellBasell. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the plant to improve Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) conditions, production volumes, and product quality.
- Develop and implement energy efficiency and improvement projects to reduce costs and enhance plant reliability.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to identify and coordinate improvements to increase plant reliability and reduce costs.
- Supervise the implementation of inspection and preventive maintenance plans to ensure timely completion.
- Liaise with suppliers and technical service providers to ensure seamless support.
- Issue purchase orders for materials and services, and define work instructions for new equipment or minor modifications.
- Train personnel on new equipment and procedures, and manage process safety, occupational, environmental, or reliability incidents.
- Record incidents in databases and supervise the implementation of corrective actions.
- Evaluate staff improvement proposals and actively participate in information exchange activities with company experts.
- Collaborate in the implementation of Management Systems, such as ISO 9001, TS 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and OCS.
- Participate in process design and modification, and contribute to Site Security by assuming the weekly PAU on call.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with applicable legal, corporate, and local safety, environmental, and energy efficiency requirements.
Requirements
- University degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering is an asset.
- Fluent verbal and written skills in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and basic IT capabilities, including SAP, EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT, and Data Bases.
- Background in digitalization process and project engineering experience are assets.
- Experience working in a chemical plant is an asset.
