Resident Advisor (RA) is a leading music media brand that has been a cornerstone of the electronic music ecosystem for over two decades. With a global audience of over 6 million monthly users, RA provides a comprehensive platform for news, editorial, club listings, and ticketing, as well as RA-branded events and original films.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our operations in Southern Europe. As a key member of our international team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and performance in Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement local strategies to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the Growth team to implement the International Strategy in Southern Europe, with direct oversight of the local GCN team.
  • Manage the P&L for Southern Europe, including revenue and expense management.
  • Build and maintain key market relationships, including commercial, cultural, and creative partnerships.
  • Lead and mentor the local Commercial/Revenue team to achieve commercial targets.
  • Oversee local operations, including people, operations, physical spaces, and culture.
  • Provide pastoral support and oversight to all Southern Europe team staff.
  • Develop a deep understanding of company products and services, and adapt them to the local market.
  • Represent Southern Europe to the wider company, advocating for product, revenue, people, support, and content changes to drive success in the region.
Requirements
  • Embedded within the Southern Europe scene with a wide existing network.
  • Passion for electronic music and in-depth understanding of the industry.
  • Proven success in a managerial role (4+ years of management experience).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
  • Outstanding relationship-building and client-service skills.
  • Understanding of digital media and advertising.
  • Ability to motivate and lead employees, and to hold them accountable.
  • Understanding of People and HR requirements for Southern Europe operations.
