We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Account Manager to join our Education Sales team at AWS EMEA SARL (Spain Branch), focusing on delivering cutting-edge cloud services to large higher education and research institutions. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with key decision-makers at educational and research institutions, understanding their unique challenges, and crafting tailored cloud solutions that drive improvements in their business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Cultivate Prospects: Identify potential customers within the higher education and research sector and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders and mission owners, CIOs, and directors.
  • Understand Customer Needs: Collaborate with customers to understand their business goals, challenges, and objectives in order to align cloud services with their unique requirements.
  • Deliver Value Proposition: Articulate the value proposition of our cloud services, demonstrating how they directly contribute to enhanced student learning, operational efficiency, and financial savings.
  • Customer Advocacy: Foster long-term relationships and transform satisfied clients into advocates for our services.
  • Build Business Cases: Assist clients in building compelling business cases for adopting cloud services, including ROI analysis and cost-benefit assessments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our technical and industry teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Keep accurate records of all sales activities and provide regular sales forecasts and progress updates to the management team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience.
  • 10+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of the higher education sector and research organizations, and the challenges they face.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experience.
  • Proven track record in sales, particularly in selling cloud services, software, professional services or technology solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
