We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team at Pillangó Placements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and auditing, with a focus on SARS-related tasks and financial statement preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounting tasks up to trial balance, including XERO or Sage one accounting software.
  • Prepare and submit VAT201's and VAT reconciliations.
  • Process payroll up to reconciliation, including EMP201 and EMP501's using Simplepay.
  • Handle SARS-related tasks, including VAT and other registrations, PAYE and UIF registrations, income tax, provisional tax, and other submissions.
  • Represent the company in SARS meetings to settle disputes and submit documentation.
  • Prepare financial statements using Caseware, if applicable.
Requirements:
  • Matric certificate, preferably with a financial qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting and auditing, with a focus on SARS-related tasks.
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans.

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package based on market standards, considering their qualifications, skills, and level of experience.
