As Labor Relations Manager, you will oversee internal governance processes and legal requirements to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations, contributing to the overall HR operational efficiency.

The role reports to the HR Manager and will be based in Madrid, Spain. You will provide the delivery of 'best in class' Labor Relations consultancy service to local market business leaders and employees as well as to Leaders globally who may have teams based in Spain.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the contact point for questions and concerns regarding labor matters, ensuring complete update on all labor reforms or modifications that may arise.
  • Prepare and create documents and agreements regarding labor matters, such as work calendars, policies, contracts...
  • Support business leaders on cases covering all aspects of the employment relationship, including collective bargaining, disciplinary actions, complaints, performance, absence, flexible working, redundancy, contractual changes, etc.
  • Support information/consultation activity including the relationship with the Workers Councils and Unions when required.
  • Define and implement the company's compensation and benefits policy.
  • Oversee payroll process with our external agency.
  • Review and maintain different processes in terms of Health and safety, with the support of our external vendors.
  • Manage data tools, track and report data to support data-driven decision making and inform effective prioritization.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, innovation and agility, continuously improving automation and digitization of processes where appropriate.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Employee Relations experience, including compensation, flexible working, general policies, contractual changes, etc.
  • Degree or Masters in Labour Relations, Legal or similar.
  • Knowledge of Spanish Employment Legislation application/interpretation – including ability to quickly assess potential areas of risk.
  • Team worker.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and liaise with all levels of management.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
