Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Programme Assistant to join our team at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR). The successful candidate will provide cross-cutting support to our activities, including event organization, communications, and advocacy efforts.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Event Support: Assist in organizing and managing meetings and events, both virtual and in-person, in collaboration with the Programme Manager.
  2. Content Creation: Draft background notes, presentations, and other written materials in support of programme activities, including relevant translations.
  3. Data Visualization: Support the Programme activities with data visualizations and graphics as needed.
  4. Communications: Manage the Programme's social media accounts, presence on the ECFR website, and relationships with the media.
  5. Reporting: Capture the impact of Programme activities and help prepare donor and internal reports.
  6. Stakeholder Mapping: Assist in stakeholder mapping and updating our internal systems and database.
  7. Liaison: Liaise and coordinate with relevant actors on behalf of the European Power programme both internally and externally.
  8. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the European Power Programme as needed.
Requirements
  1. Education: Relevant degree in the field of Political Science, Journalism, International or EU Affairs, Public Policy or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Two years of relevant work experience (including internships), particularly in organizing public events and managing social media accounts.
  3. Skills: Good knowledge and understanding of administrative matters and work organization. Advanced MS-Office and IT skills, including the use of databases (CRM) and social media platforms. Knowledge of Canva and WordPress is an advantage.
  4. Language: Excellent written and oral communication in English, good knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
  5. Interest: Proven interest in one or more of the European Power Programme's focus areas: climate and energy; technology and geopolitics; the multilateral system; defence and security; and public opinion polling.
  6. Desirable: Desirable experience in an international high-pace environment.
