Tax Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team at Bunge. As an Indirect Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of VAT declarations and returns for all EU VAT registrations entities.
Main Responsibilities:- Pro-actively follow up and resolve issues found in the reconciliation and VAT compliance process.
- Makes sure VAT, Intrastat and ESL are reported correctly and timely for the assigned VAT registrations.
- E-filing of the declarations in the secured internet environment.
- Work closely with cash team to ensure payments are made accurately and on time.
- Perform VAT reconciliations and follow up with Accounts Payable team and Execution teams to ensure correct VAT treatment of transactions.
- Provide training to internal departments to expand their VAT knowledge ensuring the VAT compliance status of the company.
- Advise on ad hoc VAT issues.
- Support the Indirect Tax Team with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Support the local Tax managers in handling the external VAT Audits and queries.
- Participate in (technological) projects to improve VAT compliance process.
- 3+ years of experience as an Indirect Tax Specialist.
- 3+ years of professional practice in multinational companies.
- Fluent in Spanish and English will be required. German will be a plus.
- The Indirect Tax Specialist must have significant experience in accounting and knowledge on European VAT rules and regulations.
- Numerical and analytical skills are required together with system knowledge (SAP, SAP S/4 HANA).
