About the Role:
Cogent Communications is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Account Manager to join our team. As a Global Account Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities within national and regional sales territories. You will work directly with the nation's leading IT Decision Makers to position Cogent's services for new business and achieve monthly revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within national and regional sales territories
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to position Cogent's services for new business
- Meet or exceed monthly revenue goals through consultative and relationship-building selling techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a direct hunting, B2B sales role with quota achievement
- Ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business through extensive prospecting and research
- 4-8+ years of solid, B2B sales experience in a telecom arena with collocation and wholesale experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with revenue deadlines
