About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving sales volume and margin across our Grid Automation portfolio.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service and knowledge of customer needs and Hitachi Energy solutions.
- Prepare sales plans and bids, ensuring technical and financial accuracy, in collaboration with marketing and other departments.
- Identify and develop new market opportunities in collaboration with the wider Sales team.
- Monitor customer and market trends to develop effective marketing activities in collaboration with the Marketing team.
- Support the market manager in defining the annual budget for selected customers, creating a pipeline of opportunity, and building a strategy for the long term.
- Lead the internal sales process, involving all necessary stakeholders and utilizing mandatory tools.
- Embody core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your Background
- An engineering degree in a related field (electrical, electronic, or industrial).
- More than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge and experience in protection and control of electrical substations.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Current permit to work in Spain.
- Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
- Availability for short trips to visit customers in Spain.
