Job Title:

Sales Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and solutions-focused Sales Engineer to join our team at Weir Minerals. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting business development and the sale of Original Equipment, ensuring that customer requirements are met with precision and care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the mining industry and be able to provide exceptional technical support to customers. You will work closely with internal departments to analyze specifications and select the most suitable equipment for customer applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers and analyze specifications to select the most suitable equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed and competitive Original Equipment quotations and bids.
  • Oversee order fulfillment requirements to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Travel to key accounts to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Support aftermarket sales through site visits and collaboration with other departments.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of Weir's products and services.
  • Represent Weir Minerals at industry exhibitions and trade shows to showcase our offerings.
  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to our zero harm behaviors, contributing to the development of a world-class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining, Industrial, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in the mining industry, particularly in customer-facing roles.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, up to 60% of the time.
