Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quantity Surveyor/Contract Engineer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the management and execution of our rail projects, ensuring they are handled in accordance with the contract terms and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers in effectively managing the interface between technical and contractual aspects of the project.
  • Record variations, their corresponding cost impacts, and develop profitability for our projects.
  • Ensure timely submission of notices and be responsible for their follow-up and reporting with our project and legal teams.
  • Proactively monitor change management through formalizing processes.
  • Review and write project documentation, such as Minutes of Meetings and Monthly reports, and identify potential risks.
  • Support claims, opportunity management, and value engineering processes, including identification, substantiation, analysis, and submission.
  • Review contracts, technical specifications, and their amendments during the execution phase and provide input to the Project Managers.
  • Be involved in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control, specifically related to cost overruns, claims, and variations.
  • Help the PM analyze the Project Schedule to manage risks and potential delays to the critical path.
  • Liaise with the scheduling team and PM to keep the current Project Schedules updated to ensure detection of delays.
