We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Spain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with medium-large-scale EPC projects, and will play a crucial role in managing all commercial elements related to design and build projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Management: Maximize revenue opportunities, manage contract variations, and prevent margin erosion.
- Cost Management: Analyze tenders, develop cost control strategies, manage project budgets, and monitor costs.
- Contract Administration & Management: Review and negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and manage contract disputes and claims.
- Tendering & Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, select suppliers and subcontractors, prepare and evaluate tenders, and negotiate post-tender agreements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and report on risk management.
- Cost Control and Reporting: Provide financial reporting, monitor project costs and expenditure, forecast costs, and support decision-making.
- Project Management: Manage projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Assist with supplier and subcontractor management, client liaison, and clear communication with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), ASAQS, or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in quantity surveying/cost engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Comprehensive experience with construction and engineering contracts.
- Knowledge of construction software is preferred.
Desirable Traits:
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of environmental and sustainability issues related to the energy sector.
Work Environment:
- This role may require travel to project sites and client meetings, and occasional cross-border travel.
