The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team, responsible for enhancing the security features and engineering capabilities of our Roche Cloud Platform. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy secure cloud solutions, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cloud Security Architecture

Design and implement secure cloud architecture, leveraging AWS native security services like GuardDuty, Security Hub, and others.

Security Feature Development

Develop and deploy security features, including automated security solutions, to reduce manual operations and enhance overall security posture.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with engineering teams, product owners, and customers to gather requirements, discuss security implications, and implement security features using CI/CD pipelines.

Security Consulting and Advocacy

Serve as a security consultant and advocate for the Roche Cloud Platform, providing expert guidance on security best practices and architecture.

Software Security Architecture

Contribute to software security architecture, providing insights for propositions, product designs, and service enhancements.

Gap Analysis and Resolution

Apply standard security frameworks for gap analysis and collaborate with the platform team and customers for resolution.

Security Across the Platform

Work with engineering teams to enhance security across the platform, ensuring a robust and secure cloud environment.

Continuous Improvement

Engage with the broader Security teams to continuously improve data protection within the platform.

Technology and Development

Assist the team in making decisions regarding technologies, development patterns, automation frameworks, and new approaches to enhance security adoption in the future.

Requirements

  1. Cloud and Security Experience

A minimum of one year of experience in security and cloud computing, with practical experience with fundamental AWS cloud services.

Technical Skills

Understanding of AWS security architecture design, hands-on experience in creating and implementing security features at a large scale, and proficiency in Git, Terraform, and Python.

Collaboration and Communication

Excellent collaboration skills, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with experience working in agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with other clouds like GCP, Azure, or Alicloud, experience in data analysis, and experience reviewing code for quality and security compliance.
