Senior Paralegal Specialist

Zimmer Biomet is a global medical technology leader, and we're seeking a skilled Paralegal Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Legal Department, you'll play a critical role in supporting our business operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
- Coordinate project intake and tracking, maintaining accurate project files and filing systems.
- Support contract lifecycle management, including uploading agreements and related documents into our contract management system.
- Assist in-house legal counsel with business development projects, including mergers and acquisitions, distribution agreements, and co-partnership agreements.
- Review and analyze documents, cross-checking and validating information.
- Organize and maintain accurate filing and archiving for all projects.
- Accurately maintain project status spreadsheets and contracts databases.
- Support uploading into Legisway agreements and related documents.
- Coordinate with outside legal counsels on specific assignments, reviewing preliminary advice and providing recommendations to internal supervising attorneys.
- Act as liaison with various internal departments and personnel, collaborating and following up on requests and ongoing projects.
- Paralegal certification and/or a bachelor's degree in law or equivalent.
- 7+ years of paralegal or similar experience supporting Legal functions.
- Experience in the Life Sciences Industry (medical device ideally) is preferred, and/or in an international law firm.
- Extensive knowledge of legal principles and practices, on legal research techniques, as well as on international contracting principles.
- In-depth legal knowledge of various European jurisdictions, with international experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in working with a contract management system is a plus (i.e. Legisway from Wolters Kluwer or equivalent).
- Fluent Spanish and English. French or German is a plus.
- Time management skills to handle accurately multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to work in different languages (native Spanish and fluent in English mandatory, French or German is a plus).
- Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and report regularly to his/her manager and to the department lawyers directing him/her.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with ability to review legal documents and organize numerous legal documents in complex matters.
- Must be detail-oriented and accurate.
- Must be proactive addressing problems and making continuous process improvements, with high sense of autonomy.
- Must demonstrate follow-through on assignments, and ability to ensure accuracy and completeness without prompting from supervisors.
Zimmer Biomet office located in Barcelona, Spain. Possibility to work remotely 2 days per week.
