Position Overview
This role is situated within our Manufacturing division, specifically focusing on Nutrition. Our nutrition sector is dedicated to creating scientifically formulated nutritional products that cater to individuals across all life stages, from infants to adults. Our esteemed brands are relied upon globally to provide essential nutrients for a healthier lifestyle.
As the Quality Assurance Excellence Lead, you will be an integral member of the Quality Assurance Team, reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Plant Director. Your primary responsibility will be to devise and execute strategies aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of the Quality Department while collaborating on the execution of quality improvement initiatives at the plant level.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Division Quality Excellence role to implement quality enhancement strategies within the Quality Assurance Department and the plant, aligned with the overarching Division Quality Excellence objectives.
- Compile and present all quality-related data for the Plant's Monthly Business Review Meetings.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) associated with the plant's quality metrics.
- Establish and uphold specific KPIs for the Quality Assurance Department.
- Create and maintain a system for tracking and analyzing composition deviations for ingredients, intermediates, and finished products. Utilize this system to formulate strategies aimed at reducing potential Out Of Specification scenarios.
- Employ problem-solving techniques to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality-related challenges.
- Spearhead and execute continuous improvement initiatives or projects, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing, within the Quality Assurance Department.
- Work collaboratively to identify opportunities for cost reduction based on ingredient and formula composition.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology or a related scientific discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or Research & Development within the Nutrition sector.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in statistics and data analysis.
- Experience in implementing improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Proficient in English.
