About the Role

As an Area Manager at Amazon Road Transport Spain, S.L.U. - J27, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics network. This key position requires a strong leader who can drive safety, efficiency, and quality across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Culture of Safety and Wellbeing: Create and oversee a culture that prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of our team members.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Analyze and implement changes to maintain high-quality and productivity levels across our operations.
  • Oversee Projects and Process Improvements: Lead projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and enhance the quality of service for our customers.
  • Collaborate with Management: Work closely with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices and drive operational excellence.
A Day in the Life

As an Area Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on driving a culture of safety and upholding quality and shift performance standards. Your day will be varied, including routine team management, daily operational responsibilities, process improvement, and operational contingency tasks. You will also serve as a role model and mentor to new managers.

About the Team

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, is responsible for handling 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. Our goal is to provide a seamless delivery experience for our customers. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers.

Requirements
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in people management, communication with stakeholders, and using data to influence business decisions.
  • Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language.
