Job Summary
Omya International Ag is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data & Analytics Specialist to join our team in Barcelona. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Power BI and user experience (UX) design, with a strong understanding of data management principles and data integration concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Power BI Expertise
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports
- Implement best practices for clear data visualization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet reporting needs
- Optimize Power BI solutions for performance
- User Experience (UX) Expertise
- Conduct user research and testing to improve usability
- Work with end-users to refine designs
- Power Apps (Nice to Have)
- Develop custom applications and integrate them with Power BI
- Use Power Apps for workflow automation
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing scalable and efficient solutions on Azure
- Extensive knowledge of Azure cloud services, infrastructure, and architecture, with relevant certifications
- In-depth understanding of data management principles, data lake-house architecture, and data integration concepts
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies
- Knowledge and experience of DAMA Capabilities and the different disciplines of Data Management
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Design, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, or UX design
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing and managing Power BI reports and dashboards
- Strong understanding of UX design principles and a track record of creating user-friendly interfaces
- Experience with user research, usability testing, and iterative design processes
- Familiarity with Power Apps and its integration with Power BI
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
