Job Title: Finance Senior Associate

EDP Energias de Portugal S.A. is a leading global renewable energy company, and we are seeking a highly skilled Finance Senior Associate to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Finance Senior Associate to support our EU Finance team in managing the daily financial activities of assigned business units. The successful candidate will analyze, prepare, and execute financial processes to ensure the financial viability of projects, including assessing financing alternatives, preparing financial models, and monitoring cash flow forecasts.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the EU Finance Direction in implementing and managing the financial structure of projects/companies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to analyze and present financial data, highlighting impacts on profitability.
  • Follow up on project finance structure evolution at various stages, from internal analysis to implementation.
  • Responsible for scheduling activities related to the financial area, including long-term funding, bridge, equity, and hedging.
  • Maintain updated relations with financial institutions and negotiate with them as needed, including Due Diligence processes.
  • Assist with gathering and presenting necessary information required by shareholders.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics, with an MBA preferred.
  • More than 2/3 years of experience in financial/investment/accounting departments of medium or large-sized companies or groups.
  • Experience in financial modeling, analysis, and presentation.
  • Knowledge of Project Finance contracts and ability to work in teams.
  • Travel required (10%-20%).
Desirable Skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and Finance software (i.e., SAP).
  • Knowledge of IT systems, including business applications and Power BI.
  • Ability to read, write, speak fluently in English (level C1 or equivalent) and Spanish, with knowledge of Portuguese a plus.
