DuPont Water Solutions (DWS) is a $1.4 billion leader in water technology, focused on addressing global challenges in water purification, conservation, and reuse. DWS serves thousands of customers across diverse markets utilizing multiple technologies from its extensive portfolio worldwide.
We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Water Reuse Specialist to join our Technical Service and Development Team in EMEA.
The primary focus of this role is to deliver technical service and support in the design, implementation, and optimization of wastewater processes and technologies for municipal and industrial water reuse. This involves close collaboration with customers, partners, commercial and marketing teams, and other functions to develop tailored solutions that meet specific water treatment requirements.
The target region encompasses all of Europe, with a particular emphasis on southern and eastern European countries.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Becoming a subject matter expert in water reuse applications to effectively position DWS's products, providing technical guidance and consultation to internal teams and external clients to ensure efficient system designs and effective operations, while offering support during troubleshooting and resolution of operational challenges.
- Presenting technical proposals and solutions to customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns, and managing opportunities at any technical stage using appropriate tools.
- Collaborating with commercial and marketing teams to develop engagement programs for priority markets to enhance business visibility and establish DWS as a technology partner.
- Working with customers to understand their water treatment needs and develop customized solutions.
- Conducting feasibility studies, analyzing water quality data, and recommending suitable technologies, equipment, and operating conditions to achieve desired treatment results.
- Providing training and technical support to customers, operators, and field service personnel on system operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and water reuse management.
- Developing and delivering technical presentations, workshops, and customer seminars as required.
- In collaboration with commercial and marketing teams, exploring and defining new markets/applications for existing products based on market feedback, regional needs, and regulatory drivers. Providing insights to strategic marketing, commercial, and R&D for product enhancement and development opportunities.
- Compiling and updating product documentation materials, including case histories and customer success stories.
- Delivering technical presentations and talks at conferences, exhibitions, and customer seminars.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, along with local language skills.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical roles such as Technical Sales, Technical Service, or Project Management in water treatment.
- Relevant technical experience with UF & RO Technologies, and a solid understanding of water technologies (i.e., UF, RO/NF, biological, etc.) theory and practical applications in water and water reuse.
- Familiarity with water quality parameters, including pH, conductivity, TDS, hardness, alkalinity, and common contaminants found in various water sources.
- Willingness to travel for business, up to 25% of the time.
- A customer-centric attitude with the ability to build relationships and trust with clients, along with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in customer systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong digital technology and data analysis skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multinational environment.
