About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Safety Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Health and Safety (EHS) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of safety performance and monitoring, aligning with personnel, team, and functional goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate and arrange training programs on critical Fulfillment Center EHS issues.
  • Support the implementation of EHS programs within Fulfillment Center Operations, delivering key risk assessment activities.
  • Drive compliance with local and EU legislation.
  • Ensure EHS systems are accurate and up-to-date, with completed incident reports and supporting documentation.
  • Assist the EHS Manager in constructing incident prevention programs.
  • Contribute to Fulfillment Center requests for improvement of on-site safety and positively impact accident trends.
  • Prepare responses to insurers or solicitors in response to personal injury claims.
  • Participate in the EU Fulfillment Center EHS Safety Audit Programme.
  • Assist with the coordination and training of new Health and Safety team members.
  • Act as a proxy for the EHS Manager, as required.
  • Arrange and facilitate Fulfillment Center Safety Steering Committee meetings.
  • Conduct basic surveys and checks in the Fulfillment Center environment, examining facility processes, Health and Safety supplies, and employee behaviors.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, including Safety, Hygiene, and Ergonomic according to Spanish Health and Safety regulations.
  • Understanding of Spanish Environment, Health and Safety legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Spanish and fluent English.
