**Job Summary**

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Process Safety Specialist to join our team at Corbion. As a Process Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and improving our manufacturing site's Process Safety Management system.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure Process Safety information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Partner with Operations and Projects to facilitate process safety studies and provide subject matter expertise.
  • Own and facilitate Process Risk management processes, including PHA (HAZOP and LOPA) studies and actions management.
  • Ensure process changes are managed through a Management of Change (MOC) procedure.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to manage Safety critical equipment.
  • Introduce and oversee key process safety indicators (KPIs) and facilitate periodic review by site leadership.
  • Classify process safety events (incidents and near misses), lead root cause analysis (RCA), and implement management system improvements.
  • Manage compliance with internal and external process safety requirements and loss prevention related audits and surveys.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, preferably chemical.
  • Proven success with process safety and risk management in the chemical industry (hazardous processes).
  • Experience facilitating safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, Ex atmosphere (ATEX) risk assessment) and leading Root Cause Analysis.
  • Working knowledge of different external process safety related standards (API, NFPA, ATEX).
