Job Title: Legal Advisor

Cepsa Colombia S.A. is seeking a highly skilled Legal Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will provide legal advice and support to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, minimize legal risks, and protect the company's interests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice to the business on contracts, corporate matters, regulatory issues, and legislation.
  • Research and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and judicial precedents to ensure compliance with applicable legal standards.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts and documents, monitor projects and operations, and resolve legal issues that arise.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and business partners.
  • Conduct internal and external legal investigations to resolve disputes or legal issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in relevant legislation and regulations and assess their impact on company operations.
  • Identify and prevent legal risks specific to the sector and operations.
  • Represent the company in litigation, arbitration, or other legal processes, or collaborate with external lawyers if necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business and/or Law or other closely related professional qualification.
  • 6+ years of post-qualifying experience operating in strategic roles.
  • Excellent knowledge of regulation and a regulated business.
  • Ability to quickly grasp, synthesize, and retain significant industry knowledge.
  • Strong influencing skills and a track record of influencing effectively at senior level.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide coaching and direction to senior and junior professionals.
