**Job Summary:** We are seeking an Early Stage Researcher to join our team at the Barcelona Institute Of Science And Technology (BIST) to work on the development of 3D skeletal muscle tissue integrated within microfluidic organ-on-chip devices.
**About the Project:** The MORFEO project aims to develop Muscle-on-chip devices to model DMD and Col6-related myopathies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and characterizing 3D tissue co-cultures of skeletal muscle tissues from patient-derived cells, designing and fabricating microfluidic devices, and integrating the platform to drug testing assays.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and characterize 3D tissue co-cultures of skeletal muscle tissues from patient-derived cells.
- Design and fabricate microfluidic devices.
- Integrate the platform to drug testing assays.
**Requirements:**
- Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in cell culture and molecular biology.
- Experience in microfabrication techniques is a plus.
- Experience in microphysiological systems and tissue engineering is a plus.
