We are seeking an experienced International Business Development Director to help defense professionals adopt wireless technologies for their operations. This is a global role, and our team is diverse and distributed worldwide. If you are passionate about influencing the future, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with the MCN global head of sales for Defense and teams within Market Areas (MA) to engage with Customers and Partners.
  2. Secure cross-company collaboration to ensure that required functions and roles are involved in due time and ready according to the defined strategy.
  3. Lead opportunity qualification in coordination with teams in MA and BA areas.
  4. Develop sales strategy for qualified opportunities, including a win-plan covering all key areas required to develop the business.
  5. Guide the creation of a specific opportunity engagement plan, defining stages and targets with associated timeline and resources required.
  6. Drive problem-solving to qualify and quantify the value of Ericsson's proposition to defense customers, mapping customer operational requirements into recommendations and solutions.
  7. Develop contents and supporting material to steer workshops and customer sessions, including strategic views, global market trends, recommended solutions, deployment, and operational models.
  8. Contribute to defining industrial setup, including Go-To-market options, as well as risk analysis, commercial, contractual, and negotiation strategy based on long-term sales cycles and public procurement routines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering with a deep understanding of mobile communications market.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the Defense market, with a strong reputation in the industry.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to plan, anticipate, and adapt to changes, guiding an effective response.
  • Perseverance, navigating long-sales cycles with resilience and self-confidence, while continuing to push and avoid frustration.
  • Customer-oriented, with the ability to understand end-user environments, operational structures, processes, and requirements, and add new value for customers and the company.
  • Strong analytical skills, performing regular market analysis, defining, and keeping updated business strategy accordingly with clear targets, guidelines, and priorities.
  • Team player, collaborative, and integrity, with experience working in multinational and diverse environments, facilitating everyone to perform at their best.
