Job Summary

Brenntag is seeking a highly experienced Sales Manager Iberia to lead our product development and business growth initiatives in the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and delivering new product and supplier opportunities, supporting sales growth, and providing product-market information to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product and Business Development
    • Develop and implement sales strategies and guidelines for Iberia Food
    • Set sales targets, budgets, and allocate resources
    • Manage assigned internal and external account management teams
    • Cooperate with business development, customer service, and product management teams to share best practices
  • Leadership and Relationship Building
    • Develop strategic and operational relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the relevant supplier communities
    • Develop strong relationships with Brenntag internal colleagues and have the ability to manage and influence without direct authority
    • Lead an internal network for local product management focused on the product group to ensure delivery of strategies

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Minimum 10 years of work experience in selling to large and complex, multi-country/regional companies
    • Work experience in international settings
  • Knowledge
    • Master's degree (e.g. Food technology, Ingenuity, Economics) or similar level of education
  • Personal Skills and Attributes
    • Proven ability to meet and exceed targets
    • Track-record of developing strong and influential business relationships
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as cultural sensitivity
    • High degree of analytical and conceptual thinking
    • High level of self-motivation and the ability to create opportunities to generate business
    • Ability to take ownership and meet deadlines
    • Enthusiastic, determined, and highly motivated
    • Proven teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively and influence where no formal hierarchical relationship exists (matrix structure)
    • Solid knowledge of MRP and CRM systems
