Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Risk & Compliance Advisor to join our Legal department, based in our Madrid office. This role is pivotal in our mission to innovate road freight logistics.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Risk and Compliance Advisor, your primary focus will be on the development and execution of comprehensive safety, security, and compliance frameworks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing organization-wide safety, security, and compliance programs that align with industry best practices.
- Managing regulatory compliance to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and guidelines, including oversight of licenses, certificates, and insurance.
- Overseeing documentation processes: drafting, reviewing, and managing a variety of documents to ensure clarity and accuracy for all stakeholders.
- Maintaining an organized contract database, tracking renewal dates, and ensuring timely management of contract renewals or terminations.
- Supporting dispute resolution by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with external advisors.
- Identifying and recommending enhancements to safety, security, and compliance processes.
- Collaborating with external risk prevention advisors to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Promoting a safety-first culture by ensuring all employees are informed of and adhere to established safety protocols.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Risk Management, Law, Business Administration, or Compliance, or equivalent experience. Advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in safety, security, or compliance management, preferably within a similar industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Thorough understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and work independently while maintaining a high level of detail and follow-through.
