About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Media Manager to join our team at Mattel. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for driving our digital media agenda and activations to deliver maximum ROI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Digital Media Strategy & Processes
    • Translate market insights into effective strategies and actions
    • Identify missing insights and trends, and implement solutions to drive a more consumer-centric and insights-focused team
    • Continuously track and evaluate the performance of your efforts, and adapt your strategy as needed
    • Drive a test and learn agenda to stay ahead of the competition
    • Manage budgets and coordinate with cross-functional teams
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest digital media trends and best practices
    • Actively work towards promoting best practices and efficiency gains in everything the team does
    • Collaborate with Category and Regional Digital teams to share expertise and identify synergies
  • Lead Integrated Media Planning
    • Act as media lead and coordinator, overseeing all digital media campaigns
    • Develop brand audience strategies, collaborating with Brand teams to understand specific needs and identify data-enabled strategies for reaching target consumers
    • Lead digital engagement efforts, including CTV, YouTube, gaming, social media, and influencer marketing
    • Drive programmatic and data-driven marketing initiatives
    • Activate data partnerships to complement and integrate first-party data strategies
    • Develop and implement CRM strategies, including data modeling and media planning
    • Drive and execute e-retail media activities, partnering with sales and go-to-market teams
    • Collaborate with the in-house Amazon media team for Amazon media plans
    • Oversee campaign reporting and optimization
  • eCommerce
    • Expand online share in key retailers and nurture pure players
    • Optimize customer product detail pages (PDPs) to ensure ROAR assets are implemented
    • Work with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to develop ecommerce trade plans
    • Provide e-merchandising assets to support online sales
    • Manage Mattel Shop lead setup and updates
  • Agencies Management
    • Lead digital and media agencies, reviewing, coordinating, and aligning digital media plans with Category teams
    • Manage the privacy pillar, ensuring plans are COPPA and GDPR compliant
  • Team Leadership
    • Actively develop and mentor team members
Requirements
  • Courageous leader with media experience and ability to learn and apply new skills
  • True interest in digital media, with understanding of performance marketing and enthusiasm for learning about new media markets and channels
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in digital marketing, preferably in FMCG, with a minimum of 2 years of management experience
  • Commercially minded, results-driven, pragmatic, and decisive mindset, with a winning mentality and strong will to succeed
  • Strong attention to detail, with a desire to improve processes and drive team efficiency
  • Proactive problem solver with a creative and highly analytical mindset, able to read and interpret data and make proactive recommendations
  • Proven ability to navigate complex environments, understand, manage, and reduce complexity
  • Able to manage multiple deliverables, take decisions, and nurture the development of team members
  • Ability to work independently and make important decisions
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative and high initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate a matrix organization, influence people, and build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Bachelor's degree in digital marketing
  • MS Office and social media knowledge
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with Portuguese as a plus
