Job Opportunity:

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Research Group. As a key member of our team, you will provide scientific support to our research activities, focusing on the development and characterization of nanoparticles and nanosystems for bioengineering, biotechnological, and biomedical applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the synthesis of micro- and nanoparticles, including inorganic and organic materials.
  • Support projects related to 3D printing and maintenance of analytical and characterization tools.
  • Manage lab organization, reagent ordering, and equipment maintenance in coordination with other technicians and the Group Leader.
  • Train new users in equipment operation and lab procedures.
  • Ensure lab safety and manage equipment reservation calendars.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in chemistry, nanoscience, nanotechnology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in nanoparticle synthesis and characterization techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong commitment to integrity and problem-solving.
  • High level of English proficiency.
