**Role Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Facilitator to drive the efficient and compliant use of data within BASF. As a key member of the Group Data Office, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing AI governance processes and tools, ensuring consistency and scalability of Data & AI Governance practices.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement AI governance processes and tools to ensure efficiency, consistency, and scalability of Data & AI Governance practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Domain Owners, Data & AI Governance units, Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and Legal, to ensure policies and best practices are reflected in governance processes and tools.
  • Monitor and assess data & AI governance practices to identify areas for improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data & AI governance automation.
  • Design and implement automated data quality checks, metadata management, and data access controls.
  • Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on data & AI governance tools and best practices.

**Requirements**

  • Master's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data & AI governance frameworks, principles, and best practices, as well as corresponding regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in governance automation tools and technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and data access control concepts.
  • Proven experience in process engineering and automation, ideally in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a highly dynamic environment.
