Our Team
Within the Group Data Office, we drive BASF's overall Data Management and contribute to the efficient and compliant use of data across the organization. We deliver services around Data Product creation, Data Strategy, Data & AI Governance, and Projects. Our goal is to create value for our internal partners by streamlining and optimizing Data & AI Governance processes.
Responsibilities
As a Data Governance Facilitator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing AI governance processes and tools to ensure efficiency, consistency, and scalability of Data & AI Governance practices. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as Data Domain Owners, Data & AI Governance units, Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and Legal, to ensure policies and best practices are reflected in the governance processes and tools. You will also monitor and assess data & AI governance practices to identify areas for improvement and automation opportunities. Additionally, you will stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data & AI governance automation. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing automated data quality checks, metadata management, and data access controls, as well as providing training and guidance to stakeholders on data & AI governance tools and best practices.
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a Master's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or a related field. You should have a strong understanding of data & AI governance frameworks, principles, and best practices, as well as corresponding regulatory frameworks. Proficiency in governance automation tools and technologies is also essential. You should have solid knowledge of data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and data access control concepts. Proven experience in process engineering and automation, ideally in data governance, data management, or a related field, is highly desirable. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills, are required to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a highly dynamic environment.
