We are seeking a highly skilled professional to drive our Data Governance and AI Governance initiatives within the Group Data Office at BASF SE. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining a robust Data Governance Framework and related processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Data Governance Framework: Establish a comprehensive Data Governance Framework that aligns with BASF's overall business objectives and ensures the effective management of data across the organization.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Corporate Centre, Divisional Data teams, IT, legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure a coordinated approach to Data Governance and AI Governance.
- Monitor Regulatory Changes: Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to data management and ensure that BASF's Data Governance practices align with these requirements.
- Manage Data Roles and Responsibilities: Implement and manage data roles and responsibilities (ownership model) in the business units, ensuring that data is properly classified, accessed, and protected.
- Develop and Implement Data-Related Processes: Create and implement data-related processes, templates, and best practices, such as data classification standards, data access controls, data quality standards, and data retention and deletion policies.
- Conduct Audits and Compliance Assessments: Conduct regular audits and compliance assessments to ensure that Data Governance practices are aligned with regulatory requirements and BASF's overall business objectives.
- Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Design and deliver Data Governance training programs to ensure that employees understand their roles and responsibilities in data management.
- Education and Experience: Degree in business administration, science, or a comparable completed education with many years of professional experience in various fields, including data/data stewardship and similar profiles.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of Data Governance concepts, frameworks, and best practices, as well as knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to data management and AI.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
- Secure Work Environment: A safe and healthy work environment that prioritizes employee well-being.
