About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Manager to lead our Urban Metro Project team at Alstom. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of the project, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the technical contractual scope of the project, ensuring customer acceptance of the project solution.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, and develop a corresponding mitigation plan.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to manage contractual scope evolution, raise variation orders, and manage them.
  • Validate technical design choices with peers and Solution Director.
  • Ensure applicable regulations in the customer country/city are taken into account in project solution design.
  • Manage the project solution, including customization and parameterization of the generic solution to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) commitments.
  • Build and analyze the project requirements database (PRD) and allocate requirements to System Program Manager (SPM), Project Industrialization Manager (PrIDM), and to Project Engineering team.
  • Act as chairman of Project Change Control Board (CCB).
  • Be responsible for the project design and application engineering activities.
  • Supervise Verification & Validation activities.
  • Be accountable for Engineering WP QCD.
  • Provide BOM.
  • Lead the project engineering team, allocating tasks across the team and ensuring engineering activities follow-up.
  • Define the project engineering team organization according to the project phase.
  • Deploy applicable engineering process, methods, and tools on the project.
  • Manage and participate in the evaluation of the project engineering team.
  • Share Environment, Health, and Security (EHS) rules with the project engineering team.
  • Support assessment of the teams involved in project engineering activities.
  • Verify Project Safety Case.
  • Manage the interface with the project core team.
  • Provide all technical documents to the project core team members.
  • Solve technical issues detected by different core team members.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Engineer profile.
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in METRO systems.
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Previous experience working on cross-functional teams.
  • Previous rail industry experience.
  • Knowledge on Engineering tasks to be performed.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Fluent in French is desirable.
