We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Innovation Manager to join our dynamic Industrial team at Affinity Petcare SA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by leading our transition to sustainable packaging.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and propose new opportunities for improvement and innovation in packaging processes.
- Define, plan, and execute development projects focused on cost savings, supply security, innovation, and machine investment in collaboration with the Marketing, Purchasing, and Operations teams.
- Drive innovation and work towards sustainability goals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support and manage local packaging technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Supervise the creation and implementation of new packaging formats, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Conduct lab tests and develop packaging prototypes, evaluating their effectiveness and feasibility.
- Create and update detailed packaging specifications, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate on the approval of artwork designs, ensuring brand consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with packaging vendor assurance procedures, monitoring and evaluating supplier performance.
- Address supplier complaints and follow up on action plans, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
- Evaluate and audit suppliers, implementing improvement plans where necessary to ensure quality and reliability.
- Coordinate with various plants in different countries to apply best practices and align processes, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- University degree in Engineering, preferably in Packaging or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in packaging, with a strong background in innovation and sustainability.
- Proficiency in French and Italian is a plus, but not required.
- Flexible and adaptable, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent relational and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Capacity for continuous learning, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
