The Technical Manager role at Galderma plays a pivotal part in the interface between the company and external suppliers, driving resolution of technical challenges and overseeing validation activities. This key position evaluates technical changes and is a major contributor to all manufacturing-related questions and topics.


Key Responsibilities

Documentation and Reporting: This role involves maintaining detailed records of packaging specifications, testing results, and compliance documentation. This is essential for both internal purposes and meeting regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities Packaging Development:

  • You will be involved in the development of innovative and functional packaging solutions for new and existing cosmetic products focusing on secondary & tertiary packagings.
  • This includes collaborating with the product development team, understanding their requirements, and translating them into practical and aesthetically appealing packaging designs.
  • You'll be responsible for evaluating and selecting materials that are not only safe and suitable for the product but also align with the company's sustainability and eco-friendly goals.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and regulatory affairs, to ensure that packaging aligns with the overall product vision and marketing strategy.

Quality Assurance:

As a Technical Manager, you'll implement quality control processes for packaging materials and finished products with the support from the product development team.

This involves conducting tests and inspections to ensure line trial validation & packaging meets the required standards and is free from defects.


Supplier Management:

Building and maintaining relationships with packaging suppliers is critical for a smooth supply chain.

You'll work with suppliers to source packaging materials for secondary & tertiary packaging.


Project Management:

You'll be responsible for creating project plans, setting milestones, and coordinating the efforts of the packaging team and other stakeholders.


Risk Assessment and Troubleshooting:

Identifying potential risks and challenges related to packaging and developing strategies to mitigate them is part of your responsibility.

Additionally, you'll troubleshoot any packaging issues that may arise during production or distribution.
