Job Summary
The Operations Business Unit is responsible for delivering HR & payroll outsourcing (HRO) and technical maintenance services to clients. As a Senior Payroll Associate, you will contribute to the team responsible for executing payroll activities and/or data management/customer services, ensuring accurate and timely output.
Main Responsibilities
- Independently process payroll end-to-end, adhering to agreed processing calendars and KPIs.
- Support statutory and year-end reporting, meeting agreed calendars and KPIs.
- Utilize payroll expertise to advise clients on queries and ensure a strong understanding of country-specific legislation.
- Support knowledge transfer and training for apprentices and associates on data management or customer service activities.
- Ensure timely response to tickets and calls, adhering to SLA timescales and standards.
- Support system maintenance testing and liaise with third parties.
- Complete SOC controls on time, with necessary evidence.
- Contribute to root cause analysis, suggesting preventative measures to limit reoccurrence.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions, ensuring audience understanding and application.
- Maintain DWIs, ensuring processes are up-to-date and reflective of the service.
- Report system issues/defects, logging tickets with necessary details and evidence.
- Highlight deviations from standard scope of service to the Service Manager.
- Recognize and handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Accurately complete time recording and adhere to ALIGHT Security Standards.
- Contribute to team meetings, raising issues to the Service Manager promptly.
- Stay up-to-date with ALIGHT HR announcements and communications.
- Build relationships with relevant lines of business.
- Update internal stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in projects and activities as assigned.
Key Experience and Skills
- Proficiency in English and Dutch.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to support a global, fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivation and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, adhering to processes and procedures.
- BA/BS in a business-related field, such as Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in payroll administration or health and welfare/benefits in an HR consulting, HR outsourcing, or corporate environment.
- HRIS knowledge, including Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft, is preferred.
