About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Associate to join our team at Alight. As a Senior Payroll Associate, you will be responsible for independently processing payroll end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to agreed-upon KPIs.
Main Responsibilities
- Process payroll transactions accurately and efficiently, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Support statutory and year-end reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert payroll advice to clients, leveraging knowledge of country-specific legislation and regulations.
- Support knowledge transfer and training for junior team members, ensuring seamless onboarding and skill development.
- Respond to client inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner, adhering to service level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve system issues and defects, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to minimize reoccurrence.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on process improvements and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, global environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn, with a strong desire for professional growth and development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, while also working independently to achieve goals and objectives.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, such as Accounting, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in payroll administration, preferably in an HR consulting, HR outsourcing, or corporate environment.
- HRIS knowledge, including Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft, is highly desirable.
