Senior Payroll Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Associate to join our team at Alight. As a key member of our Operations Business Unit, you will be responsible for delivering HR & payroll outsourcing (HRO) and technical maintenance services to clients in line with the Statement of Services and agreed service levels.
Main Responsibilities- Process payroll end-to-end, ensuring timely and accurate delivery in accordance with agreed processing calendars and KPIs.
- Support statutory and year-end reporting, adhering to agreed calendars and KPIs.
- Utilize payroll expertise to advise clients on queries and issues, ensuring a strong understanding of country-specific legislation and tasks.
- Support knowledge transfer and training for apprentices and associates on data management and customer service activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate response to tickets and calls, adhering to SLA timescales.
- Contribute to system maintenance testing and liaise with third-party vendors.
- Complete SOC controls on time, with necessary evidence.
- Support root cause analysis to identify and prevent future issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of DWIs and ensure processes reflect current services.
- Report system issues and defects, logging tickets with necessary details and evidence.
- Highlight deviations from standard scope of service to the Service Manager.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Accurately record time and adhere to ALIGHT Security Standards.
- Participate in team meetings and raise issues promptly to the Service Manager.
- Stay informed about ALIGHT HR announcements and communications.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and update them as needed.
- Fluency in English and Dutch.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to support a global and fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivation and willingness to learn.
- Ability to collaborate and work independently, adhering to processes and procedures.
- BA/BS in a business-related field, such as Accounting, Human Resources, or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in payroll administration or HR consulting.
- HRIS knowledge, including Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft, is preferred.
