- Ensure the quality of technical proposals.
- Ensure that financial proposals meet expected financial returns.
- Undertake prospection missions.
- Ensure compliance.
- Following an accurate understanding of the Terms of Reference, ensure the design of the technical proposals.
- Write relevant specific sections of the technical proposals.
- Support the recruitment of key experts.
- Prepare budgets and financial offers.
- Provide mentoring and build capacities to team members.
- Relevant degree in economics, public sector administration, sustainable development, international cooperation, or other topics related to economic growth and good governance.
- More than 5 years of experience as a Business Development Manager for the acquisition of donor-funded projects with experience of at least 2 years working with the EU.
- More than 10 years' experience in the development cooperation sector will be an advantage.
- Exceptional time management skills - ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple stakeholder expectations, work independently and as part of a team within tight deadlines across various time zones.
- Proven track record in winning new business.
- At least 2 years' experience in project implementation will be considered an advantage.
- Teamwork - support and work collaboratively within the business development team as knowledge sharing is a crucial element.
- Ideally having the experience of managing a team of at least five people.
- In-depth knowledge of EU procedures and/or other donors and project cycle management and Log frame management.
- Excellent capacity to develop networks.
- Strong organisational skills and capacity to learn and adapt quickly to new work processes.
