Exoticca Payments & Fraud Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payments & Fraud Specialist to join our Payments team at Exoticca, a pioneering online travel agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing anti-fraud measures and representing chargebacks, ensuring all disputes are handled efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Chargeback Management: Oversee all aspects of the chargeback process, including receiving, investigating, and resolving chargeback disputes in a timely manner.
  • Anti-Fraud Measures: Implement and monitor anti-fraud strategies to prevent chargebacks related to fraudulent activities.
  • Chargeback Representment: Represent chargeback disputes, providing thorough documentation and communication with banks and customers.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of chargeback cases and generate reports for the Head of Payments and other stakeholders, highlighting trends, root causes, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Payments: Understand and collaborate in payments projects, with experience with Payment Service Providers.
  • Payouts: Experience with Virtual Credit Cards (VCC) and issuing is a plus.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the dedicated chargeback team to ensure cohesive and efficient handling of all chargeback and fraud-related issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure all chargeback activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and card network rules. Experience with PCI Compliance is a plus.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in chargeback management, anti-fraud measures, or a similar role within the payments industry, with experience in both the US and European markets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with payment processing systems.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of chargeback processes, credit card industry regulations, and fraud prevention techniques.
  • High level of integrity and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a customer-centric mindset.
