We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payments & Fraud Specialist to join our Payments team. As a Payments & Fraud Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payment systems and preventing fraudulent activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Chargeback Management: Oversee all aspects of the chargeback process, including receiving, investigating, and resolving chargeback disputes in a timely manner.
- Anti-Fraud Measures: Implement and monitor anti-fraud strategies to prevent chargebacks related to fraudulent activities.
- Chargeback Representment: Represent chargeback disputes, providing thorough documentation and communication with banks and customers.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of chargeback cases and generate reports for the Head of Payments and other stakeholders, highlighting trends, root causes, and potential areas for improvement.
- Payments: Understand and collaborate in payments projects, with experience with Payment Service Providers.
- Payouts: Experience with Virtual Credit Cards (VCC) and issuing is a plus.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the dedicated chargeback team to ensure cohesive and efficient handling of all chargeback and fraud-related issues.
- Compliance: Ensure all chargeback activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and card network rules.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in chargeback management, anti-fraud measures, or a similar role within the payments industry, with experience in both the US and European markets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with payment processing systems.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of chargeback processes, credit card industry regulations, and fraud prevention techniques.
