We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineering Manager to join our Instrument Development Chapter at F. Hoffmann-La Roche. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in leading a talented software team to develop cutting-edge instrument software assets that will revolutionize the field of diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a software team to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Coach and guide team members through their career development.
- Define and evaluate employee objectives and performance review process.
- Ensure adherence to software development best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure agile delivery process is followed and measure delivery.
- Work closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to ensure excellent software solutions.
- Navigate complex corporate environments and influence stakeholders and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a software team lead or manager, preferably in the medical device or diagnostics industry.
- Strong expertise in software development applying Agile methodologies (ideally SAFe framework).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Communicate effectively in English and Spanish (optional).
- Good coaching skills.
- Experience managing external partners.
