Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

As a Software Engineering Manager at Blacklane, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our products, driving innovation, and ensuring successful delivery. You will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Vision and Product Innovation: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define the technical vision and roadmap for our products. Stay informed and up-to-date on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation within the organization.
  • Craftsmanship and Delivery: Set and maintain high standards for software development practices, code quality, and delivery excellence. Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and continuous improvement.
  • People Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing software engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Set clear goals and expectations for team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing software engineering teams in a fast-growing and changing environment.
  • Strong technical background with in-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, architecture, and design patterns.
  • Passion for driving technical innovation and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.
